are the plant sterols (including beta- sitosterol) as well as various fatty
acids, Together they are responsible for not only reducing inflammation in the
prostate gland, but also for the promotion of hormone production involved in

Siberian
Ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus):
A botanical cousin of Panax ginseng, this herb has been used in ancient Chinese
medicine for thousands of years to enhance the vital energy of the body and to
sharpen physical and mental performance and endurance. Recent research show
Siberian Ginsengs positive effects on stress and depression
and has
clinically proven that regular use will help to increase physical and mental
performance, withstand stress and boost immune functioning. Siberian Ginseng has
been approved by medical authorities in Germany as an invigorating tonic for
fatigue, convalescence, stress, mental weakness and decreased work output. Helps
improve overall health by helping cure colds and infections and reducing
cholesterol and blood pressure. It is known to support sexual functioning and to
promote fertility and is often recommended as an aphrodisiac. It can also be
very beneficial in the treatment of infertility related to stress. Used
regularly, Siberian Ginseng can regulate the menstrual cycle, improve hormone
balance and tone the uterus to improve the ability of the fetus to implant
after conception. One
of the most important active ingredients in Siberian or Oriental Ginseng is the
ginsenosides, which greatly promote blood flow to the brain and peripherals,
including the penis. In oriental medicine, Ginseng is highly respected and
prized as a herb which promotes male or 'yang' energy, improving circulation,
boosting vitality and acting as an overall systemic invigorator.

Silybum
marianus (Milk Thistle) is regarded as one of the most important
herbal liver tonics and restoratives. As is the case with Feverfew,
medical use of Milk Thistle may be traced back more than 2000 years.
Like Feverfew, Milk Thistle has been subject to many clinical trials which
clearly demonstrate its effectiveness. It is frequently recommended to
counteract the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs
on the liver and clinical studies have shown that it helps the liver to
return to normal functioning once drinking has stopped. Scientific
analysis of Milk Thistle shows that it contains a flavonoid complex called
silymarin, which is largely responsible for the medical benefits of this
herb. Silymarin is a powerful anti-oxidant and can block the entrance of
toxins into the liver and remove toxins at cellular level, thereby
resulting in regeneration of liver cells and improved
liver functioning. This would have a direct impact on overall systemic
health as the liver is one of the most important organs in the body.

St.
John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) has been used for centuries to
treat depression, anxiety and sleep disorders and is traditionally used as
a restoring tonic for the nervous system and to lift the spirits. Active
ingredients include glycosides, flavonoids, volatile oils, tannins and
resins. The active ingredients in Hypericum are thought to boost serotonin
levels, which are usually lacking in depressed people. In some countries
like Germany, the sale of St John's Wort has outstripped many of the major
prescription anti-depressants. St. John's wort is also a muscle relaxer,
and has been used to treat menstrual cramps. It is a good expectorant as
well and a popular remedy for gastrointestinal disorders such as gastic
ulcers. Recent research at New York University and Weizman Institute of
Science in Israel found that its two main constituents, hypericin and
pseudohypericin, were found to inhibit the growth of retroviruses in
animals, including HIV-AIDS virus although more study is needed. St.
