Lavender (Lavandula Augustifolia). Lavender is one of the most useful popular herbs with a range of uses. The name Lavender comes from the French word 'lavare', which means 'to wash', giving a good indication of its cleansing properties. It is also a circulatory stimulant and antiseptic and is used naturopathically to treat wounds and burns and to prevent scarring. It is well known for its calming properties and as a tonic for the nervous system. Lavender is also used in aromatherapy to induce calm and promote sleep by either massaging the essential oil into the skin, adding it to bath water or heating it in a special lamp called a aroma defuser.

Lemon balm (Melissa Officinalis) is indigenous to the Eastern Mediterranean region but is widespread throughout Africa. It is often used as a general nervous system restorative, digestive calminative and to reduce blood pressure. It acts as an anti-viral and its active ingredients include volatile oil (including citronella), tannins, flavinoids, tocopherols and choline.

Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus) is known to stimulate cell regeneration and to soothe and treat intestinal infections, as well as pathogenic intestinal flora such as Candida albicans. It has known anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and can help to repair intestinal walls that have been damaged by Candida overgrowth ('leaky gut' syndrome).

Lions Tooth (Taraxacum officinale) , also called "Dandelion", "cankerwort" and "wild endive" this weed is a natural diuretic and digestive aid, which enhances liver and gallbladder function. Used in treatment of high blood pressure, digestive disorders, liver and gallbladder disorders, iron-deficiency anemia, PMS and yeast infections. Lirosma ovata improves sexual desire (libido). Scientific studies have shown that 62% of males using Lirosma ovata daily reported increases in sexual desire after two weeks of therapy. Magadhi is a Rasayana plant appearing in ancient medicinal literature reputed in Ayurveda to promote physical and mental health, improve defense mechanisms of the body, and enhance longevity.  This herb yields an alkaloid called Piperine.  Piperine is a proven bioenhancer that increases the availability of nutritional substances.  Magadhi as a powerful 4:1 ratio extract stimulates thermogenic response or the release of metabolic heat energy in the body causing a noticeable "warming of the loins" as a precursor to sexual activity.
